You mean the early Pagan Roman Catholic Christians were doing this, not everyone Christian was on this Gentile/Pagan bandwagon. And these Pagan Roman Christians didn't just adopt these pagan festivals, they actively sought to destroy the Jewish festivals that Jesus and the Apostles actually celebrated.
