You are correct, Nathan, it’s a lot to sift through. The bottom line is: THE CHURCH LIED. Massively. Fortunately, we now live in the Information Age where the lies have been exposed.
While the Church manufactured a Mithraic version of Jesus, there is what is known as the Historical Jesus and his Apostles.
If you want the truth, it’s not too hard to dig up now. There is a reason why people are leaving the Church by the millions. They don’t like being lied to and they don’t like the arrogance or the religious bullying.
