You appear to sidestep one of the most pointed books on eternal punishment, Revelation. While I am all for tossing the book of Revelation out of the Bible as Luther and other Reformers wanted to, you don't even quote Revelation once in your article for your report on the Church's understanding of hell and eternal punishment. This would make you a poor scholar in certain circles, ignoring a massive paleographical source on your way to denouncing the Church's tradition.

I'm of the view that evil people will be destroyed. The Church's version of Hell makes GOD look like a sadist.
Sill, the Human part of me would like to see those who caused others the most harm to be punished in the same way the harmed others. THAT would be a Hell I could get behind.
