Why would it matter if Jesus was raised from the dead or not?

Jesus fully aligned his will and spirit with God, enabling the miracles he performed and the miracle of the Resurrection. Scripture doesn’t tell us exactly what happened in the tomb, but we may infer that Jesus’ spirit and body cooperated with God to enable his returning to life.

Why would it matter if Jesus was raised from the dead or not? Since no one can pay the price for the sin of another (see Ezekiel 18) Paul's whole Christian lynch pin of Substitutionary Atonement is toast.
