Why is it that people quote the very rare edge cases when trying to defend murder? Life-threatening pregnancies are a no-brainer, of course end it to save the life of the mother. But those are statistically rare, only about 700 for the more than 3 million children born in the US each year. (CDC statistics) Only an estimated 32,000 pregnancies occur as a result of sexual assaults each year. According the the CDC’s, in 2019, there were 629,898 aborted kids. Meaning a mere 5% of abortions are due to rape or life-threatening issues. This means the 95% of abortions are for convenience or financial reasons.

The morality is not complicated. But I do understand your point Eric.

What DOES complicate matters is the CHURCH and the reprobate fear the Church installs within our culture. Instead of branding single mothers with a “Scarlet Letter”, for being Human beings with a sexual desire like we all have, we should be passing laws to protect and defend pregnancy, and then provide orphanages for children who the mother and father cannot care for or do not want.

I have two beautiful children adopted from Kazakhstan where abortion isn’t an option. I know of many more. All of them intelligent, productive adults. It would have been criminal to murder these children in the womb were you to see them as adults today.

We are very short-sighted and blinded by our own political bents when thinking of murdering kids in the womb. This is not reproductive rights, it’s an escape from Nature’s responsibility. Yes, mistakes happen. NO ONE should be ridiculed for getting pregnant; but no one should be killed for no other reason than they are causing an 9-month inconvenience.

Let someone else adopt them. We did and were deeply blessed because of it.
