Whomever EDITED Torah did this, it was likely not Moses. Or maybe it was Moses and the later editors forgot to edit out the polytheism? It could be either. Moses was very likely a polytheist and this got edited out much later.

In any event, I just want to draw your attention to the fact that NO WHERE in the Hebrew is GOD ever called "Jehovah" or "Yahweh" or "Yahova" nor any of these Christianized labels or pseudonames.
