Which “Jesus” Are We Following?

Is the “Spirit” we’re listening to really holy? How would you know?

This past week I received quite a few comments about the The 18 Biggest Lies the Church Uses to Deceive Billions. The article has resonated with quite a few people, for which I am grateful for the responses.

However, one of the things I am noticing within Christian circles of late is the whole aspect of people claiming they don’t follow the Church when in reality they actually ARE following the Church.

It’s a lie we tell ourselves.

We do this to make ourselves feel better because we know the Church is a mess and we want nothing to do with it.

The fact is, like it or not, we STILL inherited our (mis)understandings of GOD, and who Jesus historically was FROM the Roman Catholic Church and the Church’s Bible.

Yet we say we’re somehow not following the Church.

Just to set the record straight—YOU ARE STILL following the same Church you denounce when you accept and read their tome, their Bible, as the basis for your beliefs.

So, for the record:
