This explanation is pure poppycock. GOD does not saddle his beloved children with demonic spirits who are doing good. Paul himself claims this was for mere boasting. The punishment does not befit the crime.
We can already see Paul was an exceptional liar, why is it you cannot see that Paul's version of Jesus is Mithras, a pagan god who predates his Jesus by some 1,500 years???
