There could be a lot of synergy between the ancient Genesis account of the creation of the Universe and how modern science has unraveled what the ancient primitives who wrote Genesis knew or understood, whatever their inspiration.

But Christians are too busy knocking science, like the Catholic Church did with Copernicus and Galileo.

But Christians are often too blinded by their own dogma to understand that not everything that got written into the Bible is accurate. Sola Scriptura is a MAN-MADE tradition. GOD did not write the Bible and to assume that they did is a massive error in dogma.

GOD chastises the priests for inserting falsehood into Torah (the Law) with their "lying pens". (Jer. 8:8)

But Christians ignore such passages on their way to upholding the same kind of man-made traditions Jesus chastised the Pharisees for clinging to.

At the end of the day, science has altered Church dogma significantly century after century. But the the Church is too stubborn to see that they were dead wrong in clinging to pagan dogma.

Until the Church can answer the question, "Where did GOD come from?" Understanding that Universe expanded from nothing or something preexisting is just as viable and just as any belief in GOD.
