Thanks for the comments, Jay. After 40 years in the Church, I was ALWAYS told that the gospels were the work of the Apostles without exception. The only reason why most scholars are now backtracking about the origins of the gospels and other books publicly is because the lies have been exposed and now they are reaching for excuses. Like saying nonsense like “the Bible’s books are inerrant in their original manuscripts”, none of which we have; or telling another whopper lie, “the books were written by eye wittinesses of the apostles” which is just as unprovable nonsense. If you don’t know who the authors are, then you don’t know that they were an “eye witness”. It’s all more lying excuses to save face after having been caught in the lie.
As far as the unusual theory goes, nothing would surprise me about who really authored the books of the Bible.
The bottom line is the Roman Church used Paul as their ONLY apostle and attempted to turned the Jewish Jesus into a rebranded Mithras, a pagan god that was already popular within the Empire by the time Constantine took power.
