Ric, the Roman Catholic Church has been practicing “Christofascism” since the 4th century. This is not new. But Christians have not been the only ones staging protests within the halls of the US Capitol. Many so-called Liberal groups have stormed and occupied the Capitol as well.

I think it’s important to remember that Jesus really tried to stay out of the political squabbles of the day. Too many of us are quick to label others as fascists; meanwhile, our own actions could be seen as just as “fascist” as we try to “cancel” people with whom we politically disagree.

The test is simply this: if you don’t want others “canceling” your free speech, don’t try to cancel the free speech of others. The Church has been guilty of such “bullying” for millennia. We best ought not to act like they are.
