Prateek, I would suggest that you not approach topics with a bias and just allow the facts to speak for themselves. This piece is like reading someone looking at the sun but declaring it midnight. You offer some of the facts but then utterly dismiss the facts as no relevant. That's really bad scholarship.
As far as Christmas and Easter are concerned, the Church usurped these Roman pagan holy days as the means to keep Christians from celebrating them. Christianity was after all the state religion of Rome after Constantine (mostly) and into the 3rd and 4th centuries.
