Paul was OPPOSED by the Twelve, Jeremy. There is a massive body of evidence that shows that Paul preached a Pagan (ie. Gentile) version of Jesus that was not consistent with what the Super Apostles indeed taught.

You cannot, absolutely cannot trust what the RCC put into the NT. The victors (re)write the history and the RCC's NT is an almost completely rewrite of what really happened.
