One is not being persecuted, or hated, when one is merely being corrected on their facts. The Catholic Church said the same things when the Reformers were calling into question their beliefs that had been contradicted by not only by history, but scripture as well.

I have said that the Church LIED, and I stand by that assertion because that is what the early and latter Church did. For most this was not on purpose, they simply followed what they were told to believe. But for others, the LIE was real, it was devious, and it was intentional as a way to wrestle authority away from Jerusalem and reseat it within Rome.

Like Luther, I pull no punches; my commentary is pointed, sometimes abrasive; but it is not hate.
