Many if not most religious SCHOLARS would agree with you on this. Most PASTORS, unfortunately, would not. Not because you're wrong, you're not wrong, but because admitting that Jesus was actually Jewish teaching Jewish things would be bad for business of the Pagan (ie. Gentile) Church.
