I think you allow your Pagan (Gentile, non-Jewish) Christian culture to override what Jesus historically meant.

In the Clementine Homilies, Jesus is found teaching that the reason he is found to be abolishing the Law is because there are FASLE THINGS within the Law. Namely sacrifices are not of GOD. Jesus taught that any Law tied to ephemeral constructs, like the Temple for instance, are not in reality the ordinances of GOD.

Jeremiah makes the point by saying that the "lying pen of the scribes [elders, priests]" altered Torah (the Law) and inserted all manner of falsehoods within it.

Jesus teaches (within the Homilies) that his followers were to be prudent in discerning that which was false and that which was true.

Since the Temple has passed away, the entire sacrificial system should be regarded as a massive falsehood inserted into Torah by money-grubbing Priesthood bent on use sacrifices as a kind of religious tax to support themselves.
