This is the biggest disconnect for me. If Jesus was just a man, then so what? Why should we listen to him? And if Jesus was the son of God, why did he bother to come? You haven’t explained this at all.

I did explain this. But it's okay to struggle and wrestle with the revelations. I did for quite some time after GOD revealed these lies of the Church to me. We keep wanting to return to the Church's lies, I know. I get it. But it's often really hard to make such a wholesale shift in our understandings.
