Hi Herb. My reading shows that Jesus was a member of a very prominent family deeply connected to the Temple priesthood of his day. I’m not really buying the narrative that he was from Nazareth; that sounds more like a Catholic Church narrative to me.

All of the NT books were written in Koine Greek, including the Septuagint or LXX (Greek Tanakh, or Old Testament). The irony here is that Jesus is said to have mostly spoke Aramaic. Not sure if that is true since Jesus, James his brother, and John, his cousin, were raised in and around the Temple. I’m sure Jesus knew Hebrew pretty well.

And yes, you are correct, the Bible is indeed a product of the Roman Catholic Church. No doubt.
