Your exegesis is all over the place. We are talking about Paul's thorn here, NOT some crown of thorns that Jesus might have worn.

And you are incorrect about Jesus being poor. In Roman Catholic tradition Jesus was made to look poor, but his family was actually quite wealthy and members of the Temple priesthood. Jesus brother James even held the office of High Priest, many times. You didn't get into that office or even preach in the Temple if you were a pauper or unknown.

Sorry, but your traditions don't stand up to the light of truth and historical facts.
