Hi David. We can agree to disagree. No worries.

What I will point out is that we as people are indoctrinated to see and not see what we want or don't want to see.

I am surrounded by people in my family like yourself. They have taught church and church school their entire lives, yet they don't see—and do not want to see—Paul's pagan (cf. Mithraic) gospel versus the gospel as taught by the Super Apostles, you know, those guys in Jerusalem whom Jesus personally called.

Even though Paul himself states that he preaches a "different gospel", a "different Jesus", and with a "different spirit" than the most preeminent Apostles!

Tradition is something that dies VERY hard, especially within older guys like us. It took me quite a while to see that what Paul preached was NOT what the Jewish Jesus and Jewish James would have preached. Paul plays lip service to his Judaic roots, as does the Catholic Church, but at the dnd of the day, no Jew would ever be preaching a human sacrifice for the remission or forgiveness of sin. Ever.

As Christians, we're taught to think that we worship the Jewish Messiah. But it's a clever sleight of hand, the Messiah we worship is actually Paul's pagan version of Mithras.

When you immerse yourself in Judaic thought, as opposed to Roman pagan Christian thought, will you then begin to see, REALLY SEE, Paul's discordant gospel. Until then, just reading about it from guys like me, it won't sink in. You'll just think I'm nuts. I had to immerse myself in period Judaic thought before I was able to see it clearly fro myself.

Peace.
