Great overview, Dan. However, when looked at in light of the Prophets, the ONLY way to "atonement" is via REPENTANCE. Jesus, John (Jesus' cousin) and the rest of the Apostles preached a "baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sin". Not human sacrifice. Not animal sacrifice. No sacrifice at all.
