Good points, Mike! It also bears mentioning that Luke is the only Gentile (ie. Pagan) chosen for canonization by the Roman Catholic Church within the Bible and also the only place where we see the term “new covenant”, which is decidedly a Paul term not found in any of the earliest extant manuscripts of the so-called synoptic Gospels. The Gospel of Luke may as well have been written by Paul—GOD knows the Gospel of John clearly was.
