Elena, you make really good points in your article. For me, the end game here is not “a culture of blame”, however—it’s demanding accountability from those who lied and continue to lie under the guise of “faith”, “belief”, and religion in general.
There are no “alternative facts”, there are only facts. So-called “alternative facts” are usually facts someone doesn’t want to look at, so those facts get either dismissed outright, or demeaned as heretical, apostate, “alternative”, personal perspective, or whatever it takes to ignore them. The Church is really good at that … hence the reason for my existence. ;-)
