And what might those very early texts have been? The honest truth is that today we do not have access to a single original manuscript of any kind, not a single scrap of a single first of a single book of the Bible. The oldest manuscripts we have date from several centuries after the original writers did their work, and that applies to both the Old and New Testaments.
