A very good point, April. However, we cannot trust what Paul was actually spewing as his complaints against Peter, James, and the rest of the Super Apostles whom he despised (see 2 Cor. 11). Paul could say and write anything but that does not make what he complains about “true”. So let’s assume that Paul the liar is still just lying about what the real reasons were that he and Peter got into an argument. The bottom line is Paul is not in-charge here, Peter is. Furthermore, it is doubtful that the Apostles were trying to turn Pagans (Gentiles) into Jews. Jesus taught a “baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins”, not circumcision nor the bloody Human sacrifice that Paul was preaching. Keep in mind also that the holy day that GOD ostensibly wrote into the scriptures was a 7th day shabbat, not the first day that the Catholic Church changed it to. Was the Catholic church right or wrong to change this holy day?

See my article, Why Jesus Left the Church for more background on this.
