1. Mithras existed as a cult 1,500 years before the birth of Jesus and the Apostles, including Paul.
2. "Blasphemous" is a term used by bullies against weak-minded individuals, dare I say idiots, and has no use within the context of a scholastic discussion in the 21st century. Nice try.
3. Of course it's not the view of a "majority of [Christian] scholars" because it utterly destroys their entire system of belief! So the ignore it or created EXCUSES for its existence. This line of majority reasoning is also a Logical Fallacy called "Bandwagon". Just because a majority of people believe or reject something does not the truth or facts make.
4. Dr. Ehrman notes that Christianity indeed imported many aspects of Mithraism. I don't know where you are getting your information from, but it appears to be in error. Read Ehrman's Lost Christianties.
