1) GOD is the only authority. Not the Church. Not the Church's Bible. Not me. Not you. Just GOD.

2) We see glimpses of GOD within parts of the Bible that uphold the greatest commandments: Love GOD and Love your neighbor as yourself. The Golden Rule. All the Law and the Prophets extend from this. If they in anyway depart from the Golden Rule, then it's not of GOD.

3) Any law that is ephemeral, temporary, is not of GOD. The Temple is gone. It was not really of GOD and neither was the sacrificial system that went with it.

4) Any law that is cultural is not of GOD. Shaving is a sin according to Torah, but that is cultural. GOD never said this. Et. al.

The latter Prophets held great admonishment but also encouragement to an Israel and Judah who'd been saddled with bad laws about GOD. See Ezekiel 18 for the true mechanism of GOD's forgiveness.
